Salvation Mountain
About 1.5 hrs. out of Palm Springs is a little place called Salvation Mountain. Salvation Mountain is Leonard Knight’s tribute to God and his gift to the world with its simple yet powerful message: “God Is Love.” Charles even got asked to be in a wedding photoshoot!
Slab City
Salvation Mountain is located among Slab City. This is a very interesting place. The population or “campers” is made up of a variety of people; homeless, those that want to live off the grid and to be left alone and others have moved there to stretch their retirement income. We got to visit the library.
